Versatile, playmaking cornerbacks are needed and wanted by every program in the country, and there may not be any better than Clairton (PA) star CB Lamont Wade.
Wade is a very athletic defensive back that has stated in the past that Michigan is a “dream school” (per Wolverine247’s Steve Lorenz) but, for some reason, the staff has yet to extend an offer. And he’s looking for that offer “soon”.
I spoke with him about how his recruitment’s been going and his interest in the Wolverines.
He let me know he’s looking for a program with “coaching stability, a winning program with a good academic program”, which makes Michigan a great fit. However, the staff has yet to really reach out and they may need to get on the ball because the sooner they finally do, the better chance they’ll have.
If/when the staff finally offers, expect him to set up a visit quickly. And make sure to keep an eye on his name in the near future. I can’t imagine the staff waiting too much longer before offering.
