Upshur \”Very Excited\” about his Michigan Offer

Before they have even landed a tight end in the 2015 class, Michigan has already offered four tight ends in 2016 with the latest being extended to Naseir Upshur.

\”I was very excited but on the other hand I knew it would be coming soon\” said the 6\’3\’\’ 241lb recruit out of the Imhotep Institute in Philadelphia. \”It\’s a great academic school (that) produces players to the NFL\”  he said.

Upshur is a big, physical tight end that excels as a blocker and pass catcher. Basically, the perfect fit for the Michigan offense.

With the offer in hand, he will be visiting Ann Arbor this week and will be looking to develop a better relationship with his primary recruiter, Tight Ends Coach Dan Ferrigno.

As for things he is looking for in a school and what he will be looking for when he visits Michigan:

\”Just for the coaches to treat me like I belong there\” he said. On top of the relationship, he is looking for a school with a \”great education\”.

With his top priorities being his relationship with the coaches and a great education, Michigan looks to have a very good chance in his recruitment. As for other schools that have been sticking out to him, he mentioned Arizona State, Temple, Michigan State, Maryland and South Carolina.

It\’s still very early in his recruitment but Upshur said he will be releasing a top 15 at the end of the summer.
