New Michigan Man: Preferred Walk-On LB Chris Terech

Depth is something Harbaugh is looking to build at Michigan but he doesn’t have a lot of scholarships to hand out. So, the walk on route is the way to go and that is where the latest addition to the 2015 roster came from in Saline (MI) LB Chris Terech.

Terech was one of the best players in the state of Michigan and helped lead Saline to their first state championship appearance in school history after shutting down Mike Weber and Cass Tech in the semi-finals. He is a hard nosed, leader of the defense, “coach on the field” type of a linebacker that was named 2014 DZone Defensive Player of the Year and will make an impact before his career is over. Basically, he’s a perfect fit for a Harbaugh coached team.

At Michigan, he will likely start off summer camp fighting his way to see the field but I could see him become an impact player on special teams early on. After a couple years of coaching and the weight room and there’s a good chance he lands a scholarship.
