New Michigan Man: 2017 TE Carter Dunaway

Tight End U. Thats’ the plan and Harbaugh took another step in fulfilling that promise with their first 2017 commitment and 2nd tight end commit of their tenure, Brother Rice (MI) TE Carter Dunaway.

The Brother Rice standout has the elite size and build of a top tight end but is definitely an under the radar guy at the moment. There isn’t a ton of film on him but he should quickly start rising up the ranks after a couple camps (the Michigan commitment doesn’t hurt either).

Dunaway is a legacy recruit as his father Craig played for Bo from 1980-82 and his brother Jack will be joining Michigan this summer as a preferred walk-on. Add in his lifelong affinity for the Maize and Blue, and this was a quick and easy decision that only took two weeks after landing his offer.

Highlights

As for the Rest of the Class: Dunaway is the first commitment of the class that should reach the mid-late 20’s. The staff is in on a ton of top ranked recruits so expect this class to be one of the best in recent memory.
