Michigan Offers Two Committed 2015 Wide Receivers

With a week to go until National Signing Day 2015, Michigan has hit the road hard and is throwing out offers to several interested offensive skill position players. One main position of need is a true receiver (Brian Cole could possibly play safety) and the latest offers are out to Ole Miss commit Van Jefferson and Washington State commit Deontay Burnett.

Jefferson just recently committed to the Rebels just a week after decommiting from Georgia. And now he let both 247Sports\’ Steve Lorenz and ESPN\’s Tom VanHaaren know that he will officially visit Ann Arbor this weekend. With Michigan\’s need at receiver and Jefferson\’s very strong ties to the state (started off at Orchard Lake St. Mary\’s, is a Detroit native and dad used to coach WR\’s for the Lions), there\’s a possibility they could flip him.

As for Burnett, he is referred to as one of the most underrated players on the west coast and could be a very good fit as a deep ball threat that Michigan so badly needs. With the offer and official visit this weekend (according to Rivals\’ Adam Gorney), he also looks like a possible flip. Maybe even more than Jefferson.

This final weekend before National Signing Day is turning into another big one. Stay tuned to see what Harbaugh and the FlipMode Squad can do.
