Michigan Offers Two 2016 Linebackers

In 2015, Michigan missed out on bringing in a linebacker to solidify the depth on the inside or outside. So, the 2016 class will likely feature at least two linebackers (Dele Harding is already committed) and Michigan has it\’s eyes set on plenty of names. The latest linebackers to land offers include Rahssan Thornton and Jonathon Jones.

Thornton is talented outside linebacker/defensive end combo out of Killeen, Texas and would be a very nice fit as an edge pass rusher in Durkin\’s defense. Michigan joined Cal as his only offers at the moment but expect that list to expand quickly.

Jones is a physical, hard hitting, linebacker that could play inside or outside. And after the offer, he let 247Sports\’ Steve Lorenz know that Michigan is his leader at the moment. It\’s still very early and he doesn\’t hold too many offers from Power 5 conference programs, but he is definitely a name to keep an eye on moving forward.
