Michigan Offers Three 2017 Targets

The Michigan coaching staff has offered tons of 2016 recruits but it’s looking like they’ll offer even more 2017 targets. And they’ve kept the roll going as they’ve offered TE Leonard Warner, ATH Ambry Thomas and LB Jordan Anthony.

Warner is one of the top athletes in the class but looks to be a great fit at tight end, if he were to end up in the Maize and Blue. Even though he’s a raw prospect, he has the size and athleticism to grow into a very good player. Though it will be very tough to pull him from the south with his in-state Georgia Bulldogs looking like the heavy favorites.

Thomas is the player that is by far the most likely offered prospect on this list to end up at Michigan. He grew up a fan of the program and has clearly become a top in-state target for the staff, and for good reason. He is one of the most electrifying recruits in the Midwest and could make an impact as a corner and return man. And I really like the chances of him ending up being that playmaker for the Wolverines.

As for Anthony, he is starting to become one of most targeted linebackers in the class thanks to great camp performances. He has the size and athleticism to be a versatile backer in any program, and Durkin’s looking to add him to his Michigan defense. He will be a tough pull but with the Wolverines ties to his high school (Blake Countess) and his possible impact on the defense, they have a real shot.
