Michigan Offers Three 2017 Standouts

Harbaugh and the staff are taking a run at the #1 class in 2016 but may have an even better shot at getting the top class in 2017. Especially if they can land any of the three offered recruits today, ATH Paris Ford, CB Stanford Samuels III and CB Marcus Williamson.

Ford is one of the top players in B1G country, regardless of class. He stars at free safety for Seton La-Salle (Pittsburgh, PA) and looks to be a very good fit for the hard hitting, fast defense Durkin is looking to install. With him being in such close proximity to UofM, it\’s likely that he visits in the not-so-distant future.

Samuels is a Florida State legacy (dad played for the Seminoles in the early 2000\’s) and looks to be an even better prospect than his father. He has the size, athleticism and instincts to be a very productive player at the next level. And while he stars at both quarterback and defensive back for Flanagan high school (Hollywood, FL), he will stay on the defensive side of the ball (cornerback) in college.

Williamson is one of the top players in the Midwest and the #3 corner in the 2017 class (according to 247Sports). He is a lockdown, cover corner-type that has the speed and instincts to match up with just about anyone in the country. However, it looks like he\’ll likely be donning the Scarlet and Gray at the next level, barring an amazing recruiting sell by Harbaugh and the Michigan staff.
