Michigan Offers Three to Kick Off the End of the Dead Period

The recruiting trail is alive and well as tons of coaches have starting traveling around the country to see their biggest 2016 needs and 2017 targets. And Michigan’s staff was no different as they saw several to seniors and extended a couple offers to some juniors to remember, including:

Detroit (MI) UofD Jesuit ATH Scott Nelson

Nelson is another pure athlete offer for the staff as he stars at several positions for UofD Jesuit, including QB, WR, KR, and S. Thanks to this early offer, UM looks to be in great shape early on as he spoke with MGoFish’s own Evan Paputa about his recruitment and offer.

Miami (FL) Columbus DE Guy Thomas

Thomas is one of the most athletic defensive ends Ive seen in the 2017 class and could end up being a top target for the staff. Not only is he out of the Miami area but he also looks like the exact type of player the staff is looking for to move Michigan to the next level.

Port Washington (WI) OT Tyler Beach

Michigan swooped into Wisconsin and grabbed their best gem (Ben Bredeson) in the 2016 class and is looking to get another top offensive lineman from the state in 2017 in Tyler Beach. He’s a big, athletic tackle who plays until the end of the whistle and looks like he’d be a nice fit in Drevno’s system. The Badgers will obviously be a tough team to beat here but UM definitely helped themselves out by getting an offer to him early.
