Michigan is looking for big, fast, athletic corners (isn’t everyone?) to run their aggressive, press coverage defense and the latest offer is a perfect fit, ATH Korey Banks out of Tyrone, GA (Sandy Creek).
Banks is an electrifying athlete that is a game changer in all three facets of the game. However, according to 247Sports’ Clint Brewster, Michigan may only be recruiting him as a cornerback. He also said the Wolverines are the team to beat ($).
Michigan extended the offer to Banks while he was on a Midwest recruiting tour, and just looking at his offer list, you can see why they are the favorites right away. Next to Wisconsin, his next biggest offer is from Western Michigan. But don’t let that fool you on his skills.
He reminds me a bit of 2015 signee Keith Washington thanks to his explosiveness and build.
