Michigan Offers 2016 OLB Jeffrey McCulloch

The dead period is over and the new Michigan coaching staff is on the road. While most would think their first visits would go to the top 2015 targets (and most will) the first visit and offer went to 2016 Aldine Davis (Houston, TX) outside linebacker Jeffrey McCulloch.

2016 LB Jeffrey McCulloch tells me he has received an offer from Michigan @jd_veintitres @TremendousUM

McCulloch is a long, lanky, athletic outside linebacker that fits exactly what Durkin and Mattison want on defense. And they let it be known this morning. The Wolverine\’s Brandon Brown spoke to McCulloch ($) soon after he landed his offer:

\”Well I walked into the office this morning and Coach Mattison was sitting in there talking to my coach,\” McCulloch explained. \”He just looked at me and said, \’You are the first stop that Coach Harbaugh wanted me to make so you are the first recruit in the country right now that will get an offer from Michigan.\’

While the Texas native fits the Michigan football profile, some may think his southern roots and weather preference may keep him out of the frigid north. However, he let it be known he loves the cold.

McCulloch is clearly a top target in the 2016 class to keep an eye on. Check out his highlights.
