Michigan Extends Offer to LB Darrian Franklin

Offers on offers. That clearly was the plan for Michigan during the bye week as they\’ve extended their 8th offer of the week to 2016 LB Darrian Franklin (Downey, CA/Downey HS).

Franklin is listed as the 10th best linebacker in the class on both Scout and 247, and the 9th best via Rivals, and has the game tape to back up that ranking. He still needs to add some size but his athleticism is what sets him apart from the other linebackers in the class.

As for his recruitment, Michigan is the 8th team to join the offer sheet, which includes Miami, Arizona State, UCLA and, the rumored favorites, USC. He was actually supposed to visit Ann Arbor over the summer but those plans fell through. Though most see him as a Trojan lean, don\’t count out the Wolverines. Franklin\’s father happens to be from the Midwest and wants his son to take a good look at the teams in the region.
