Most 45-20 wins are cake walks but Michigan’s win over SMU was anything but that, at least in the first half. The Wolverines struggled a bit out of the gate, especially on offense where their first three drives ended without points against a defense that has been getting shredded. What was the issue? Players and coaches have admitted that they are hardly showing the full offense this early in the season. Also, add in Jim Harbaugh’s known history of grinding things out and it makes sense that the offense stays pretty boring until things start to open up. But is there more to it than just that?
