Now that the spring is here and spring practices are just around the corner, Michigan will start to host more and more recruits. That includes this weekend where the staff is expected to host two four star recruits, including one that I had in my last 2018 class prediction.
Check out who’s expected to be in town this weekend:
2018 DB Myles Sims
Sims looks to be one of the staff’s top defensive targets and one of the top overall recruits in the class. So, getting him up to campus from Atlanta is a win in itself. But I think this could be a huge visit. According to Wolverine247’s Steve Lorenz, the staff is expected to “roll out the red carpet” for Sims ($). If things go as well as expected, I wouldn’t be surprised to see UM making a big move on his list. This could be a recruitment similar to Nico Collins’ from a year ago.
2018 WR L’Christian Smith
First reported by TMI’s Brice Marich, the big receiver will make his way up to Ann Arbor from Springfield, Ohio this weekend ($). Though, at the moment, he looks to be leaning towards Kentucky, a successful visit this weekend and the staff pushing for him, even though he’s a bigger receiver, and Michigan could be in striking distance heading into the spring.
