Look Who\’s Officially Visiting Now: January 23rd

While the first official visit weekend saw some elite targets walking around Ann Arbor, including Chris Clark, Roquan Smith and Iman Marshall, this upcoming weekend could end up being one of the most active in recent memory. That is because Michigan has a very good chance at flipping/landing a commitment from several of the 2015 recruits visiting. Check out who will be in town this weekend:

QB Zach Gentry, 6\’7\’\’ 235lbs. Albuquerque, NM (Eldorado)

– The Longhorn commit blew up Twitter today when the news of his visit to Ann Arbor was made public. He\’s been as solid as can be to Texas since he committed but the arrival of Harbaugh has changed things. After having an in-home visit, he decided to make the trip up north for the weekend. Add in him removing \”Texas commit\” from his Twitter bio, and it looks like Michigan may land it\’s 2nd QB for 2015.

Status: Committed to Texas

Michigan\’s Chances: Very Good

DE Reuben Jones, 6\’3\’\’ 233lbs. Lakeland, FL (Lake Gibson)

– The Cornhusker commit seems to be very high on Michigan after they extended an offer on January 14th. Thanks to a great in-home visit, the chances of him flipping from the B1G West to the B1G East seem to be very likely.

Status: Committed to Nebraska

Michigan\’s Chances: Extremely Good

TE Matt Snyder, 6\’5\’\’ 245lbs. San Ramon, CA (California)

– Snyder is the other Cornhusker commit that will be on campus and, like Jones, a very possible flip candidate. He plays like an old school tight end and if Harbaugh\’s looking to take more than Chris Clark, than this could be a great match.

Status: Committed to Nebraska

Michigan\’s Chances: Very Good

OT Nolan Ulizio, 6\’6\’\’ 280lbs. West Chester, OH (Lakota West)

– As a lower rated prospect, most fans overlooked the Ulizio landing an offer from Michigan. However, when you put on his tape, you see the potential. And the staff knows it. Though he\’s committed to UConn, if the visit at Ann Arbor goes well, he\’s the most likely to flip this weekend.

Status: Committed to UConn

Michigan\’s Chances: Extremely Good

CB Chris Williamson, 6\’1\’\’ 190lbs. Gainesville, GA (Gainesville)

– Williamson is one of the few non-committed recruits to be visiting Ann Arbor this weekend but that doesn\’t mean he\’s not a top priority. His size and ability to make game changing plays on defense makes him a perfect fit at corner and they will try to sell him on that, as well as everything else Michigan has to offer. I doubt a decision is made this weekend, but a home run visit could put the Wolverines out front right before NSD.

Status: Uncommitted (Georgia, Cal, UNC and Florida are his other top options)

Michigan\’s Chances: Good

FB Reagan Williams, 6\’3\’\’ 232lbs. Jackson, OH (Jackson)

– It was a matter of time until Harbaugh started targeting Stanford recruits and Williams looks to be a legit recruit as well as option to flip. He\’s from Ohio, plays hard nosed football and values education. While Michigan can\’t match Stanford\’s academics (not many can), they can offer him more in just about everything, including playing close to home. With a good visit, I think there\’s a chance he makes the flip this weekend.

Status: Committed to Stanford

Michigan\’s Chances: Very Good

TE/DE Jake Pickard, 6\’6\’\’ 231lbs. Millburn, NJ (Millburn Senior)

– One of the last 2015 tight end/defensive end offers, Pickard is a big, physical player that has the size and versatility to play on either side of the ball. And Michigan knows that since they are recruiting him for both positions. He\’s visited Ann Arbor before and hinted at the chance of flipping from the Badgers. As long as a spot is available, I believe he flips to the Maize and Blue.

Status: Committed to Wisconsin

Michigan\’s Chances: Extremely Good

CB Will Lockett, 6\’0\’\’ 182lbs. Manvel, TX (Manvel)

– The UCLA commit was very excited after landing an offer from Michigan and meeting Coach Harbaugh. While he may be the least likely corner to end up in the class, his physical, ball-hawking style would be a very good fit in Durkin\’s turnover based defense. If he has a great visit, anything could happen.

Status: Committed to UCLA

Michigan\’s Chances: Good

CB Markel Bush, 5\’9\’\’ 185lbs. Delray Beach, FL (Atlantic)

– One of the latest names to join the party, Bush is teammates of DE Shelton Johnson (visited last weekend and has yet to earn an offer. According to Scout\’s Corey Bender ($), Michigan had an in-home visit with him and Johnson, and liked what they saw enough to invite him up this weekend. It\’s not known if an offer (regular, gray shirt or preferred walk-on) would be extended but they are clearly interested enough to fly him up.

Status: Uncommitted

Michigan\’s Chances: Will commit if offered

Edit: Alabama LB commit Joshua McMillon cancelled his trip.
