Like Expected, Elliott Decommits from Michigan

In one of the least shocking turn of events on the recruiting trail this week, Westside (TX) DT Jordan Elliott decommitted from Michigan:

Elliott, who has now decommitted from three different schools (Baylor, Houston and Michigan), committed to the Wolverines after his official visit to Ann Arbor for the Ohio State game at the end of November.

Though most analysts were keeping an eye on him to possibly flip again, Elliott made sure to let everyone know he wouldn’t speak to any other coaches and would sign with Michigan while at the Army All-American game at the beginning of January. But that didn’t stop the in-state Longhorns pursuit.

Thanks to head coach Charlie Strong pushing for an official visit, Elliott took an official to Austin last weekend and the flip looked like “a lock”, according to my Texas source. The Michigan staff didn’t give up without a fight and made multiple in-home visits, but it wasn’t enough as Elliott decommitted from UM and now looks destined to choose the Longhorns right before/on National Signing Day.
