Decommitments are extremely common in today’s college football recruiting world and UM fans know that well. In 2015 and 2016, there were almost too many to count. And now they have their first in 2017 as Newton (GA) WR Jeremiah Holloman has decommitted from Michigan.

Holloman, who recently started piling up the offers from top programs around the country and the SEC, committed to Michigan right after receiving an offer from the Wolverines in December. Thanks to his teammate and good friend RB Kurt Taylor already being committed, it looked to be a great fit for the Peach State standout. However, the new offers from SEC schools gave him something to think about and you really can’t blame him.
It’ll be interesting to see if the staff continues to heavily recruit him from here on out as it’s early and there are a still a ton of top targets left on the board. Either way, make sure to stay tuned in here as we’ll keep you up to date on every Michigan football recruiting.
