While everyone is waiting to see which current Michigan players will look to transfer this spring (and rumor has it that it will be a “hand full”), Harbaugh and staff are looking to replace most of those names with graduate transfer options that can contribute right away.
Jake Rudock, Wayne Lyons and Blake O’Neill are already known, but who could be next? Here’s the latest news and rumors surrounding possible transfers coming to Michigan:
QB Everett Golson
The former Notre Dame starting quarterback decided to move on from the Fighting Irish and is now one of the most wanted graduate transfer this spring/summer. While there are many suitors and Rudock already on board for 2015, 247Sports Steve Lorenz’ sources have let him know that Michigan will at least kick the tires here:
I wouldn't rule out #Michigan having some interest in Everett Golson after talking to a couple sources.

My money would absolutely be on Golson ending up elsewhere but I am very confident that #Michigan will at least attempt to gauge interest

Along with Lorenz, several other football analysts included Michigan as a candidate for Golson, including:
Spitballing, but I'd expect Golson to have interest in / be shown interest from Louisville, Texas, Michigan, S. Carolina and several others.

Where will Everett Golson land? South Carolina? LSU? 10 intriguing options. http://t.co/NXsNowP9IZ pic.twitter.com/CHWS8TOq8G

While a lot of fans want him and analysts believe Michigan is a possibility, 247’s Clint Brewster’s sources have told him that Golson is likely to end up down south:
A source close to Everett Golson tells me he will likely end up at #Georgia or #SouthCarolina. @JCShurburtt http://t.co/8m4qCjcpII

My opinion: I don’t believe Golson ends up in the Maize and Blue with the amount of quarterbacks already on the roster and Jake Rudock already joining the program.
Wide Receiver Options
As for wide receiver additions, it looks there’s a very good chance the staff brings in multiple graduate transfers. While I put together multiple possibilities to keep an eye on, The Wolverine’s Michael Spath dug out some very realistic options ($), including:
- Vanderbilt QB/WR Josh Grady, 6’0” 202lbs.
- Bowling Green WR Chris Gallon, 6’4” 229lbs.
- Florida WR Valdez Showers, 6’0” 193lbs.
Spath went on to talk about Michigan’s chances with each player and the likely pecking order the staff has for them.
