Goin’ Gardening: New Jersey’s Top 2017 and 2018 Targets

After another class full of east coast stars, the Ann Arbor Express is now running year round out of New Jersey. From Jabrill Peppers and Juwann Bushell-Beatty in 2014 to Ron Johnson, Chris Partridge, and many more in 2015-16, Michigan has found itself a gold mine in the Garden State.

Here’s a list of the players Michigan has landed or is hoping/expecting to land in the 2016 class:

  • DE Ron Johnson – Committed
  • WR Brad Hawkins – Announcing on Friday, expected to commit
  • WR Ahmir Mitchell – Named Michigan and OSU his leaders, most believe he’s UM bound
  • DT Rashan Gary – Michigan looks to have a slight lead over Auburn at the moment
  • WR Donald Stewart – Looks to be favoring Stanford and Michigan, likely SU lean
