Crystal Ballin: Reid to Michigan

When Jim Harbaugh hired Don Brown, the need for more speedy, athletic linebackers to fit his system. That’s why the staff has extended several offers to players all over the country, from five stars to three stars, looking for the right fits. And one of those offers that may have flown a little under the radar is now my latest prediction to be a part of the 2017 class as I’ve put in my Crystal Ball prediction for Dunbar (FL) OLB Shanon Reid to Michigan.

Reid is a rangy, athletic outside linebacker target that Don Brown quickly identified as a perfect fit for his system. Questions quickly came up to see whether or not Reid was a take for the staff but Wolverine247’s Steve Lorenz confirmed that he is indeed a take for the staff ($), mainly because of Brown’s approval.

With the “take” question out of the way, Reid will make his official visit to Ann Arbor this weekend for the Wisconsin. And, according to a source close to the situation, fireworks are very likely to take place as long as the under the radar linebacker enjoys his time and gets the green light.

If and when it happens, I’ll have more on the situation.
