Could Two De-Commitments Find Their Way to Ann Arbor?

We are in the final stretch of the 2013 recruiting class. It is January and the All-American games kick off tonight with the Under Armor and Semper Fidelis games, followed by the Army game on Saturday.

With the top players in the nation together at their respected games, it is one of the best times for recruiting and rumors. And this year has not lacked in the excitement!

From rumors about possible visits to rumors about players being silent recruits, there is a lot to pay attention too.

As for Michigan, there has been plenty of noise about some of their biggest targets and commits thanks to having so many All-Americans playing on the national stage.

Besides the great news surrounding 5* RB Derrick Green and 4* OG Cameron Hunt, Michigan has got some great news about two de-commitments and two of the best recruits in the entire nation, 5* LB Reuben Foster and 4* WR Sebastian Larue.

Reuben Foster is the #1 Linebacker in the nation and a top 10 recruit on all recruiting sites. He is a physical specimen, to say the least. At 6\’2\’\’ 235lbs, Foster is a prototypical middle linebacker that would fit the Ray Lewis role to a \”T\” in Mattison\’s defense.

According to a couple different recruiting sites and gurus including Mr. Michigan Recruiting, Sam Webb, the Michigan\’s recruits, especially Henry Poggi, has been talking to the top linebacker in the land and let him know that he and the Wolverine coaches want him in the Maize and Blue.

Now, he is now thinking of visiting Ann Arbor after the Under Armor All-American game.

As for the 4* WR Sebastian Larue, he has de-committed from USC and is looking around. Michigan was one of the first schools he talked about having interest in.

Larue is a top flight wide receiver that has elite speed and athleticism to take the top off a defense. At 5\’11\’\’ 180lbs, he not only excels as a wide receiver but he is one of the best returners in the nation and also excels on the defensive side of the ball. He is exactly what Michigan needs in a playmaker.

There isn\’t a great chance of Michigan landing either top flight recruit, but with Poggi\’s great relationship with Foster and the fact that he is talking to Michigan coaches this week, there is a shot. Like everyone says, if they can get them on campus, their chances increase drastically.

Stay tuned, this final month is going to be very, very interesting!

Go Blue.
