Coming to Crisler: PF Moussa Diabate Commits to Michigan

The good times just keep rolling at Crisler for Juwan Howard and company as they have put the cherry on top of the #1 recruiting class in the country with the commitment of French international and 2021 IMG Academy (FL) five-star PF Moussa Diabate.

Commitment

Scouting Report

Hard-working, athletic, French stretch forward that fits today’s game perfectly. He’s another guy that can match up with multiple positions on the defensive end and has paint-to-perimeter versatility on the offensive end. He can be a force on the boards and as a shot blocker. That effort level and his playing style should win over the fans quickly as he gets plenty of immediate playing time.

Like Caleb Houstan, he’s a guy that will step on campus and be one of the top players on the team. One and done is something to watch though it doesn’t seem to be a for sure deal. Getting him to sign with Michigan will need to come first, as we’ve all seen how difficult it can be to get five-stars enrolled (ex: Isaiah Todd).

Highlights

As for the Rest of the Class

Diabate is the 6th overall commit, the 2nd power forward, the 2nd international player, the first from France, and the 2nd out of Florida. With his addition, this class is likely filled up barring any decommitments or pro-ball departures.
