Michigan in Top 5 for Thorpe After Spring Visit

When Michigan offered 2017 Central Catholic (PA) OG CJ Thorpe back in October, the big man out of Western Pennsylvania said “I love (Michigan)” and was hoping to visit Ann Arbor. Well, that visit was a little more delayed than he originally hoped but that didn’t ruin the trip.

“(The visit was) Great , they showed a ton of love, really liked the campus and the mentality down there.” Thorpe said about his trip. He also had a chance to meet with some very important people on his trip. “The OL coach (Tim Drevno) and the academic advisor, talked with Harbaugh for a little, saw most of the campus and the facility”.

As for how this visit helped Michigan’s chances, Thorpe said UM is “Top 5 for sure”.

This is obviously a good sign moving forward as Thorpe is one of the top guards in the class and holds offers from the nation’s top programs. With only a 4-5 hour drive between him and Ann Arbor, this should only be the first of multiple visits this year for Thorpe.
