Defensive back is one of the most pressing needs in the 2016 class and Michigan has targeted several players early on in the 2016 class. That latest offer is out to CB Mark Gilbert out of Fayetteville, NC (Sanford).
Gilbert has the elite height that everyone is looking for in their corners (6’2”) and isn\’t afraid to make plays on the ball and come up to the line to tackle. And it looks like the Wolverines has a good shot at adding him to their class, based on his current offers. Besides Michigan, his biggest offers are from Duke, West Virginia, NC State and Boston College.
He may not be the #1 overall target on the corner back board but if the staff pursues him heavily, they have a good chance at landing him.
