According to SEC Network’s Cole Cubelic, Michigan’s senior QB Brandon Peters has entered his name into the transfer portal.
The once-promising quarterback, Peters was never able to take the next step under Jim Harbaugh and was passed up by transfer Shea Patterson. He then ended up falling all the way to the fourth spot on the depth chart in 2018 as Dylan McCaffrey and Joe Milton both made their moves.
After being the quarterback of the heralded 2016 recruiting class, Peters started to flash his talents during his redshirt freshmen season but after being injured in the 2017 Wisconsin game and performing poorly in the bowl game against South Carolina, he wasn’t able to regain his form.
Being an Indiana native, Purdue is the team getting the most love for a future school. Wherever it may be, the Big Ten West does look like a likely landing spot. Biggest question will be if he gets the NCAA’s love and is granted immediate eligibility or not.
