Are Two Old 2016 Targets Back in Play?

The 2016 class is filling up at a much quicker pace than just about anyone could have predicted thanks to an amazing June recruiting run. On June 1st, Michigan only had 6 players committed to the class. They now have 16 in mid-June and the class only has so much space. It also has recruits talking all over the country.

Is that the reason why Archer (GA) OT EJ Price decided to de-commit from Georgia yesterday? Probably not but it did come at the right time if he’s looking to join the class. Drevno has already landed the pledges of 3 of the best lineman in the country and is rumored to have another silent one. So, it would make sense if Price (who had Michigan running 1-2 with Georgia throughout) took a second to see if he wanted to head back home to Michigan and play for the Wolverines. Keep an eye on him in the near future.

Another name from months ago looks to be in play as Lake Taylor (VA) CB Wayne Davis included Michigan in his top three schools, which was a bit of a surprise for me. I had thought Davis was down to Ohio State and Virginia Tech for awhile now. Im not sure how serious of a player the Wolverines are for his service but I’ll do some digging and see if they’re a legit option or not.
