Look Who’s Visiting Now: 2020 Michigan State

COVID ruined recruiting visits but that doesn’t mean visits aren’t happening. Some 2021 and 2022 guys have been paying their own way to travel to and visit campuses, though coaches are not supposed to be involved.

So, recruits set it up themselves and Michigan is expecting two big-timers from the west coast for the rivalry matchup with Michigan State, both of whom are commits making their first trips to Ann Arbor.

According to TMI’s Brice Marich, WR Xavier Worthy and WR Cristian Dixon will make their way across the country to make unofficial self-guided visits to their future home.

Worthy is arguably the fastest player in this entire recruiting class and a hell of a receiver as well. As is Dixon, who has had a completely opposite recruiting ranking swing as Worthy.

Dixon was once one of the highest-rated receivers in the class while Worthy was pretty much an unknown. But that completely changed over the last calendar year. Dixon had some struggles when he transferred to powerhouse Mater Dei while Worthy flashed that elite speed at Central East. That saw Dixon slide down the rankings a bit while Worthy is now a top 100 prospect and just may be a five-star talent.

But don’t let that lead you to believe Dixon isn’t a stud. More of a physical, possession receiver, when mixed with the speedster, the Cali crew could end up being an elite duo for the Wolverines early on in their careers.

Though the weather won’t be very warm, getting them on campus should only solidify their commitments.

Also, don’t be surprised to see some other commitments or targets make their way to campus during the game as well. 2021 commit DE TJ Guy and 2022 OL Connor Jones already shared pictures on Twitter of field passes they had for visits that had to be canceled because of COVID.
