In a game that Michigan was expected to blowout a winless Oakland team, it was the fighting Greg Kampe’s that showed up. Oakland led for most of the game and a big push from Michigan thanks to its freshmen, Hunter Dickinson and Terrance “Junkyard” Williams, playing big 2nd half minutes.
This one went into overtime but it was Michigan’s size and athleticism that shined through as the game wore on. A good learning lesson for this team about taking opponents for granted.
