2016 PG Bryce Aiken Sets his Official Visit to Michigan

While Michigan already has three commitments in the 2016 class, they are still desperately in need of a point guard in this cycle. Derrick Walton will be a senior next year and the staff is looking at two guys more than anyone other, UofD (MI) PG Cassius Winston and St Patrick (NJ) PG Bryce Aiken. And the latter has just set up his official visit for October 10th, according to Zagsblog.com.

About Michigan – “It is a big time school where I will be placed on a platform to play in front of thousands to showcase my game. In recent years, they’re guards have become pros and I know that I can be the next one with the help of Coach [John] Beilein and Coach Val.”

While Winston looks like the top target overall for the staff, Aiken could be the guy they turn to if Winston goes elsewhere and it’s a nice back up. He does not hold an offer yet but Michigan would be one of the biggest on his list, which includes Harvard, Miami and Maryland.

So, keep a close eye on Aiken. Winston will be a close call between Michigan and Michigan State, and if so, Aiken could see an offer extended his way soon after.
