2016 Freshman Scouting Report: Nick Eubanks

To kick off the official start to the 2016 Michigan football fall camp, we’ve broken down each incoming freshmen football signee. That includes their scouting report, 2016 season prediction as well as a quote from one of their positional coaches.

Nick Eubanks, Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage

  • Position: Tight End
  • Height/Weight: 6’6, 230 pounds
  • Commitment Date: January 29, 2016

Scouting Report: Eubanks comes from a spread offense at American Heritage in which he was playing in multiple receiver positions. He is a reliable pass catcher in all phases of the game, especially the intermediate passing game. Eubanks excels at making plays when he can create space, catch the pass, and gain yards after the catch. He is a red zone threat with such a short field and in one-on-one situations all over the field.

True Freshman Projection: Fortunately for Eubanks, he will likely get a full year of college football under his belt before he touches the field. This redshirt year will be advantageous for Eubanks’ adjustment to Michigan’s pro-style offense and weight room program in which he can gain weight to be durable at the tight end position in the Big Ten.

Jay Harbaugh Quote: “Nick is a great young man, exceptional student and outstanding athlete. He is easy-going and fun to be around but when Nick hits the field he is a very tenacious competitor. There are a lot of different ways that we will be able to utilize Nick in our offense. He offers elite speed and length as a receiver that will allow him to stretch the field in a way that defenses in this conference aren’t accustomed to seeing on a regular basis.”
