Rahshaun Smith is "Very Excited" about Michigan Offer

September 1st is here and the contact has begun between coaches and 2016 recruits. And, along with several photoshop edits, the coaching staff has sent out a big time offer to 5 star defensive end Rahshaun Smith.

Smith, out of Towson, Maryland, is one of the most highly touted recruits in the class (#1 defensive end according to Rivals). At 6\’3\’\’ 225lbs, he has the size, length, speed and athleticism to get after the passer.

I spoke with him about his latest offer and he let me know that he is \”very excited\” about Michigan. As for favorites, he let me know that \”no schools (are) standing out\” but he is looking to take visits this fall.

It is very early in his recruitment but he is definitely a target to keep an eye on. He\’s not exactly sure who his main recruiter is at Michigan but being on the east coast, I would imagine Roy Manning being involved, and we all know how good he has been on the recruiting trail.
