Michigan has landed another prospect in the 2012 class, Punter/Kicker Kenny Allen from Fenton, MI has decided to take a walk on role instead of acccepting a scholarship to another D-1 school.
Allen is a great pick up by the Michigan coaching staff, especially as a walk on. He has a big leg and can do all three forms of kicking (punting, field goals and kick offs). This is also a great pick up because Michigan has had trouble kicking the ball in the last couple years, so the more competition the better.
What SCOUT had to say about him:
-Kenny is a great combo prospect (K/P). A good athlete that shows great potential in all areas. Has the skills to be one of the very best. A hard worker, that will only continue to improve. Kenny is big, tall, strong, and athletic. A great combo prospect. Punts for great distance and shows nice consistency. Definite D1A prospect.- Chris Sailers.
Offers: Oregon State, but had interest from tons of other big named schools including Miami(FL), LSU and Alabama.
