Michigan has landed its 21st commitment. Finally! Brady Hoke has landed the public commitment of 4 star Ohio defensive end Christopher Wormley.
This is a huge pick up because Wormley was a big Michigan fan for the longest time and is one of the best defensive players in Ohio. From the start, it was said to be between Michigan and O$U, but with the O$U problems it helped push Wormley even more for Michigan.
Chris is a 6\’5\’\’, 250 lb Monster defensive end that is a freak of an athlete, excelling in both football and track. I am not sure on how quickly he will be inserted into the line up but with his athletic ability, he could be a playmaker by his sophomore year. By his junior/senior year, he could be a All-Big Ten, first round draft pick type of player.
Per Scout:
Tremendous size and ability. Likely a strong side end, but could also play inside. Ideal five-tech. Turned it up another notch in terms of motor and consistent effort as a junior. When we saw him as a sophomore, he just overpowered his opposition. Last year, because I think he saw a few top prospects and, he started to turn up the intensity. He\’s a naturally massive kid and moves well for that size. – Allen Trieu
As for the rest of the class:
This is the 4th DE to commit, and may not be the last. I was expecting DT Ondre Pipkins and/or DT Danny O\’Brien to commit today at the BBQ too but there is no word from them. I still expect them to commit to Michigan, which would be a great D-Line recruiting class. Also, Brionte Dunn and a WR are my picks to fill out the rest of the class.
