The Michigan coaching staff has made it very clear what they’re looking for in their cornerbacks and it’s someone with size and length that can play press coverage. And that is why it makes sense that the staff sent their latest off out to 2017 Lovejoy (GA) CB Meshael Custis.

Custis is a long, rangy corner that has the size that the staff loves and the raw talent that they can work with to turn into a good corner in Durkin’s system. If the staff makes him a priority, they could become real players in his recruitment. Though he is likely to see his offer list blow up a bit in the near future, which could make it difficult to pull him out of the south.
