Playmakers are what Doug Nussmeier and the Michigan offense needs, and they are taking a hard run at one of the best in the 2016 class after offering Dylan Crawford (La Canada Flintridge, CA/St. Francis HS).
As one of the best players in California and the class as a whole, Crawford is a good sized receiver (6’1” 175lbs) that can stretch the field or catch and run. He has the athleticism to play on the inside and outside, but with more growth and a college weight room, he will be a #1 target kind of guy.
Luckily for Michigan, he visited Ann Arbor for the summer technique camp with his flying partner and friend, QB KJ Costello, who is rumored to be favoring the Wolverines. While on the visit, he was able to see what the program has to offer, including a meeting with head coach Brady Hoke. This is where he received his offer.
As far as Michigan’s chances go with the talented youngster, it is still very early but Michigan has made a big impact and firmly put themselves in the race. Crawford even dropped the “L word” when talking about the program with 247’s Steve Lorenz ($).
If Costello is liking the Wolverines as much as rumored, it will only help the chances with Crawford thanks to their friendship and chance to be a dynamic duo in the Maize and Blue.
