The Michigan coaching staff hosted several of the top offensive line targets this past weekend with the likes of Tedarrell Slaton, Wyatt Davis and Kai-Leon Herbert making their way to Ann Arbor. But one name that may have flown under the radar was Gadsden (AL) OT Toryque Bateman.
Going into the visit, Bateman looked like one of the prospects that Michigan could really make a move with and they clearly got the job done:
As of right now Michigan an Tennessee are the leading schools top 8 come soon #GoBlue #Volsnation

Bateman is a 6’7” 310lbs mountain of a prospect that may be a bit of a project early on. However, that size and athleticism are two things that you cannot teach. Thanks to those natural features, he has one of the highest ceilings in the class. Only question is, how hard will the staff push for him?
The offensive line board is stacked with legit candidates to sign with Michigan but it’s hard to imagine the staff not taking a full run at the talented Alabama prospect.
