With the Michigan football coaches back from vacation this week and the 7v7 national tournament taking place in Chicago, Ann Arbor will have a nice group of visitors in town. The expected visitors list includes multiple five star recruits and a large contingent from California.
2017
TE Matt Dotson
The talented tight end out of Ohio is a name to watch. He holds a Michigan offer and looks to be a nice fit in the offense. If the staff pushes for him and his visit goes as expected, UM could rocket even higher up his list.
WR Joseph Lewis
According to Wolverine247’s Steve Lorenz and others, Lewis will headline the group of visitors from B2G 7v7 team out of California. As a five star receiver, he’s obviously a name most will watch. Michigan looks to have an outside shot here and this visit could be crucial in determining if they’ll stay among the contenders for his signature moving forward.
Committed to Cal, Johnson is another member of the 7v7 group. Though he holds an offer from Michigan, I don’t believe he’s much of a target but a visit can always change things.
The exact date of his visit is unknown at this time but, according to Wolverine247’s Steve Lorenz, Bainivalu is expected to visit this week.
Other future targets that are expected to be on campus, per multiple reports:
2018
- WR Jalen Hall
- DB Aashari Crosswell
- DB Marcus Johnson
- DB Eli Doyle
- QB Brevin White
2019
- QB JT Daniels
Out of the youngins, the names to watch closest are WR Jalen Hall and QB JT Daniels. Hall is a five star receiver in the 2018 class that Michigan has been in on early and Daniels is a big UM fan that is said to be one of the best quarterback’s in his class. This early visit could be huge for both.
