Almost every top college football coaching staff has hosted a Junior Day soon after National Signing Day to show off their program, campus and facilities to the nation’s top 2017 recruits. A lot of these events not only give teams a lead on their top targets but can also bring in a nice commitment haul, like Penn State a couple weeks ago.
So, Michigan has obviously hosted their Junior Day, right? Well, no. If you didn’t know, Jim Harbaugh and the coaching staff have been a little busy since NSD with the whole spring break practices and coaching clinic. But with spring ball wrapping up with the spring game on Friday, April 1st, I’ve learned that Michigan will host their Junior Day the next day on Saturday, April 2nd.
The list of visitors is short at the moment but should be stock full of a large portion of the staff’s top targets in the class. One of the names that will definitely be there is Santa Margarita Catholic (CA) OL Brett Neilon, as well as (likely) every top in-state junior including Oak Park (MI) OL JaRaymond Hall.
As more names are confirmed, I’ll get them out to the masses. So, make sure to follow MGoFish on Twitter, like us on Facebook and sign up for the Fish Bowl so you don’t miss a single update!
