Can John Beilein recruit? (Spoiler Alert: Yes, he can) But that is one of the biggest questions Michigan fans ask after a devastating loss on the hardwood. And I get it. After the incredible 2012 class, Beilein and the Wolverines have struggled to sign elite level players.
So, with the 2016 class in the books and the 2017 class on the docket, all eyes will turn to the junior class. Check out where some of Michigan’s top targets and potential recruits landed in the latest 2017 Scout100 rankings:
13. SF: Kris Wilkes, 6’8” 190lbs. Indianapolis, IN (North Central)
14. SF: Brian Bowen, 6’7” 175lbs. La Porte, IN (La Lumiere)
23. PF: PJ Washingon, 6’7” 220lbs. Henderson, NV (Findlay Prep)
28. SG: Paul Scruggs, 6’4” 180lbs. Indianapolis, IN (Southport)
43. C: Malik Williams, 6’10” 200lbs. Fort Wayne, IN (Snider)
59. PF: Jaren Jackson, 6’9” 210lbs. Indianapolis, IN (Park Tudor)
70. PG: Tremont Waters, 5’11” 155lbs. South Kent, CT (South Kent)
95. SG: Jordan Poole, 6’3” 175lbs. Milwaukee, WI (Rufus King) – COMMITTED
100. PG: Justin Roberts, 5’11” 165lbs. Indianapolis, IN (Pike)
Michigan needs to bring in another nice recruiting class in 2017 if they want to compete with the elite level programs around the country. So, who do you think they have to sign out of this group? Add your comments in the section below!
