For, what seems like, years now. Michigan has had Cass Tech (MI) WR Donovan Peoples-Jones sitting all alone atop the 2017 wide receiver board, and for good reason. He’s one of the best in-state recruits in the past two or three decades and is exactly what the staff needs at the position. But he’s not alone anymore.
Clay-Chalkville (AL) WR Nico Collins has catapulted to the top of the list as well and has become a player that Michigan not only has made a priority but has done so well with that he just may be favoring the Wolverines.
AL.com put together an awesome video of the behind the scenes look at Collins, his work ethic, on-the-field abilities and his recruitment:
While the video is really well done, the funniest thing most people who truly follow recruiting will notice is that Michigan isn’t mentioned by anyone until the very end as “Michigan” is the last word spoken as Collins names them among the teams standing out to him. To make it even better, he’s wearing a “The Team The Team The Team” bracelet throughout the video.
