With time running out on the 2016 recruiting cycle, the Michigan staff will host their last, big recruiting visit weekend before NSD this weekend as at least 9 top 2016 targets will make their way to Ann Arbor, including a nice group from New Jersey and a couple west coasters.
As for possible commitments, things are looking very likely once again though they were last weekend as well and we all saw how that turned out.
Check out who’s expected in visit Michigan this weekend:
Official
WR Donald Stewart
Stewart will make his way to Ann Arbor for a longtime coming official visit. This is his 2nd visit to campus and one to watch. He let me know he’s been high on the Wolverines since last spring and though Michigan has several receiver commits in the class already, I believe he’s a guy who could drop if given the green light.
Update: Stewart let me know he’ll be leaving for A2 on Friday morning.

ATH Jordan Fuller
Per by Scout’s Brian Dohn, the top athlete in New Jersey will be making his first visit to Michigan which will give the staff a chance to really make a move in his recruitment. I fully expect UM to roll out the red carpet for him and his mother to show off the educational differences between Michigan and his other top teams, as well as the prestigious football program.
Update: Fuller let me know he left for A2 on Thursday night.
DE Josh Uche
Per Wolverine247, Uche will also make his first visit to Ann Arbor. He was Don Brown’s first offer at Michigan and looks to be a top target as NSD approaches. He fits the mold as a dynamic pass rusher that could blossom into something dominant after a couple years on campus and I believe the staff will make sure he sees everything possible this weekend.
Update: Uche has made it to Michigan:

DE Connor Murphy
Murphy let me know about his plans to visit this weekend and with his strong ties to Coach Harbaugh and the class’ need for another defensive end, things could heat up quickly on his trip. He’s another guy I expect the staff to really push for and could definitely end up landing him if everything goes as well as expected.
Update: Murphy let me know he’ll be arriving around 9pm on Friday night.
TE/DE Devin Asiasi and DT/OL Boss Tagaloa
Per Wolverine247’s Steve Lorenz, teammates Asiasi and Tagaloa will make the long trip this weekend. This was a trip that has been a longtime coming as the two were offered by Michigan last March and made plans to visit early on. Now with the trip on the docket, Harbaugh is clearly making them a priority as he went to school with them on Tuesday. If things go well, UM may have a real shot at pulling the De La Salle duo from the west coast.
Update: Asiasi and Tagaloa were expected to leave for A2 on Thursday:

WR Eddie McDoom
247Sports’ Ryan Bartow broke the news of why McDoom is no longer an Oregon commit and why he could choose the Wolverines on/soon after this trip. And after doing some more digging, I also fully expect that to happen as long as something crazy doesn’t happen.
LB Elysee Mbem-Bosse
Per TMI’s Brice Marich, Mbem-Bosse will be another first time visitor to campus and another name I believe is one to watch. While I doubt a commitment goes down, Michigan is in need of linebackers in the class and he looks like a great fit. With NC State said to be his favorite at the moment, UM could make a big move up his list right before NSD.
Update: Mbem-Bosse is on his way to Michigan:

LB/DE Joel Dublanko
The IMG Academy product went from visiting to not visiting to announcing on Twitter that he is indeed officially visiting Michigan this weekend. Though he doesn’t have an offer and it would be very interesting to see him receive one on the trip, keeping this official in place is probably a good move for both Dublanko and the staff’s relationship with his program.
Unofficial
DL Rashan Gary
I was able to confirm the multiple reports of Gary making a return unofficial visit to Michigan this weekend and it is obviously one that everyone will keep a close eye on. UM looks to be the favorite as he heads into his decision on NSD and this visit could give the staff a final on campus chance to really prove why Ann Arbor is the place for him. He’ll be visiting along side close friends and teammates which will only help the Wolverines chances.
Update: Gary and Singleton are in town and enjoyed some pizza with Partridge and (possibly) another weekend visitor.
2017 LB Drew Singleton
I was also able to confirm Singleton’s visit, which was first reported by Wolverine247’s Steve Lorenz, and he’s another guy to watch during the trip. After getting some intel, I won’t rule out a commitment during the trip though he’s looked possible to commit a couple times before. But if he catches that bug, look out.
2017 ATH Antjuan Simmons
After leaving Michigan off his top 11 list, according to MaizenBrew’s Brandon Justice, Simmons will head across the street for an unofficial visit on Saturday. This may be the staff’s way of showing Simmons that he is indeed a want for them in this class.
