Knott was "Excited" After Landing an Offer from Michigan

Michigan is looking for talented defensive backs to help build up the secondary and the latest offer to CB/FS Nigel Knott (Madison, MS/Germantown) is a step in the right direction.

\”Every offer will create excitement for me. Every opportunity is special in a lot of different ways. I was excited\” Knott said. He also let me know that his mother has been on the UofM campus and told him that he would \”love it!\”. So, look out for him to set up a visit in the not-too-distant future.

Knott is one of the top defensive backs in the class (#11 CB according to 247Sports) thanks to his size and athleticism as well as his ball hawking abilities. While he\’s listed as a corner, he definitely has the frame and skills to move to free safety as well. In his highlights, you can see his ability to lay the wood and make form tackles.

In terms of his recruitment, he holds offers from several SEC programs, including in-state Mississippi State and Ole Miss, as well as recent National Champs in Alabama and Florida State.
