I still believe in Scott Frost. But like expected, the Nebraska comeback tour didn’t begin on Saturday against his personal rival, the Michigan Wolverines. Jim Harbaugh’s team put together a fantastic all-around performance to completely dominate and out-hit the Cornhuskers in a 56-10 rout in front of a maized-out soldout Big House crowd.
It was a big day for the offense, especially Karan Higdon and Ben Mason on the ground. Shea Patterson didn’t have to do a ton but was still very good and was only slowed down by some missed pass interference calls. He’s played great and his backup, Dylan McCaffrey has the future looking much better.
As for the defense, Devin Bush is an All-American and arguably the most intimidating player in college football. Rashan Gary and the rest of Greg Mattison’s defensive line are pretty damn good as well. Oh, and Quinn Nordin’s leg is ridiculous and Donovan Peoples-Jones’ rare gaffs are well worth the risk on punt returns.
Michigan hasn’t been consistent but clearly is starting to figure things out more and more. A big trip to Northwestern next week is going to be one to watch but if the offense continues to put up big points, things are looking better and better for the Wolverines as the season goes on.
As for the Nebraska blowout, there are a lot of highlights. Sit back and enjoy the condensed game highlights from the 2018 Michigan vs. Nebraska matchup:
