The addition of Cade McNamara flew a little under the radar but the top player in Nevada let it be known that he’s one of the best quarterback recruits in the 2019 class at the Elite 11 Finals. Thanks to big performances over the weekend, the Michigan commit was named to the Elite 11 on Sunday, with some ranking him among the top five performers.

McNamara committed to Michigan back in March and looks to have become a leader for the class. He’s not the same tall, pocket-passing quarterback that the staff has recruited in recent classes, like Brandon Peters, Dylan McCaffrey, and Joe Milton. McNamara is closer to Shea Patterson, in terms of style. He’s a shorter quarterback with a strong, accurate arm, plays with toughness and can make big plays under pressure.
Whether another quarterback is added to the 2019 recruiting class or not, Michigan should be very happy with their depth chart moving forward.
