The job is all but done with the 2018 recruiting class for Michigan so the staff has pretty much turned its entire focus to the future. The 2019 and 2020 classes are stacked with talent and the Wolverines are in good shape with a long list of top ranked players in each class. Some who actually visited Ann Arbor this weekend, including several of the MIdwest’s best that will be names to remember moving forward.
Check out which 2019 and 2020 recruits visited Michigan this weekend:
2019 DT Mazi Smith
According to TMI’s Steve Lorenz, Smith visited Michigan this weekend ($). He’s one of the staff’s top defensive tackle targets in the 2019 class and a player that has a very real chance of being in this class. I had him in my latest BGRC and have my Crystal Ball prediction in for as well. Though Notre Dame and Michigan State are threats to land him, this visit only solidifies my belief in the Wolverines eventually winning out here.
2019 LB Marcel Lewis
Lewis recently received his offer from Michigan and quickly set up this visit to Ann Arbor. According to multiple reports, he grew up a big fan of the Wolverines. Michigan State may have the Crystal Ball lead but I believe this visit and a push from the coaching staff will help sway things towards UM. My Crystal Ball is already on Michigan.
2019 OL Nolan Rumler
Rumler has been committed to Michigan for awhile now and remains one of the most solid commitments possible. He made the trip up to Ann Arbor this weekend alongside two of his teammates, who he’s been publicly recruiting to join him at Michigan.
2020 LB DeaMonte Trayanum
Trayanum is teammates with Rumler at Archbishop Hoban in Ohio and a player that recently received his offer from the staff. Though some have already pegged him to end up at Ohio State, the early offer and Rumler connection should have Michigan very much in the race.
2020 TE Caden Clark
Clark is another teammate of Rumler’s and actually received his offer from the staff during his visit. It’s still early in his recruitment but Kentucky may be tough to beat with his brother, QB Danny Clark, being there.

2020 OG Justin Rogers
Rogers is an early five star recruit that has been extremely pro-Ohio State early on. One reason for the OSU love was the lack of offer from the Michigan staff, even though he’s visited Ann Arbor several times already. Well, that offer came during this trip and now Michigan looks to have already swayed the momentum.
