While the 2015 running back situation is all over the place, Michigan\’s 2016 running back recruiting has started off quite well. Plenty of the top backs in the country have shown interest, and there\’s one more player to add to that list, newly offered Pittsburgh (PA) RB Miles Sanders.
Michigan has offered 2016 Pittsburgh (Pa.) Woodland Hills RB Miles Sanders

The 5\’10\’\’ 195 tailback is a dynamic runner that can beat defenders with his agility and speed (similar to DeVeon Smith). He\’s the type of back that Nussmeier is looking for to compliment the raw power of the typical Michigan runner.
Sanders (the #8 RB in the class, according to 247Sports) received his offer while visiting Ann Arbor today and it looks like the Wolverines could be a big player in his recruitment moving forward. However, they will have a hard time prying him away from Penn State, who has the home state advantage.
A couple small things Michigan has going for them is the fact that Sanders\’ high school, Woodland Hills, is named the Wolverines, wears the winged helmet, and produced former Michigan receiver and return great Steve Breaston. The small things can make the biggest difference.
