Losing Shaun Crawford was hard. He is an excellent football player and one that many thought was the most solid commit in the class. However, he had a change of heart and is likely to end up in South Bend. Oh well, the staff has moved on.
To replace Crawford in the class, the coaches have a new target at corner back, and it\’s Virginia Tech commit Mook Reynolds.
The 5\’11\” corner out of Greensboro, North Carolina is one of the top corners in the country. He plays with physicality, speed and aggressiveness that new corner back\’s coach Roy Manning loves. And now, he holds an offer from the Wolverines.
This is big news because the interest has been returned by Reynolds and it looks like Michigan will have a chance to possibly flip the Hokies commit.
Is flipping commits the most ethical thing to do? No, but if that was the rule, Michigan may still have one of the best classes in the country. Until the kid signs with a school they will be recruited by other schools. The only thing that can stop that is the recruit telling every other school that they are not interested. Reynolds clearly did not tell Michigan that.
So, stay tuned. The staff will want to get him onto campus in the near future to try and sway him up north. And I like their chances.
