Michigan’s 2021 recruiting class saw its second decommitment in as many weeks as Noble & Greenough (MA) LB/FB Casey Phinney flipped his commitment to Boston College, staying closer to him for his college ball.
Phinney originally committed to the Wolverines early in April and has been solid to that decision for a long time. But as Michigan added more linebackers to the haul and in-state Boston College made its push, the Eagles started to sway the three-star athlete.
With his flip and WR Markus Allen‘s decommitment 10 days before, Michigan is back down to 20 commitments and may end up being closer to 23 than 25 when it’s all said and done.
