Te’Cory Couch Decommits from Michigan

Every recruiting class has decommitments, most of them suffering multiple losses. But Michigan’s 2019 recruiting class had yet to receive a decommitment, until now. Chaminade-Madonna (FL) CB Te’Cory Couch has reopened his recruitment once again and decommitted from Michigan, via Twitter.

Couch flipped his commitment from Tennessee to Michigan back in April after his first visit to Ann Arbor. However, there had been some rumors about him potentially backing out of that commitment if Miami (FL) came calling. And it looks like that is taking place as Couch has decided to leave the class and bring Michigan’s 2019 recruiting haul back down to 10 commitments.

As far as replacements go, North Gwinnett (GA) CB DJ Turner II is the far and away favorite to be that person and it could come in the near future. Palm Beach Central (FL) CB Akeem Dent, Macedonia (OH) CB Nyles Beverly, and Penn Hills (PA) CB Daequan Hardy look to be other top targets to keep an eye on moving forward, Hardy looking to be the most likely nickel corner replacement, if the staff goes that way.
