New Michigan Man: Iowa Transfer QB Jake Rudock

In “Saw this Coming Weeks Ago” news, according to The Wolverine’s Chris Balas, Michigan has officially added Iowa transfer quarterback Jake Rudock after the Big Ten approved the request.

Rudock may not be the most exciting quarterback in the world, landing the nickname “Captain Checkdown”. However, Harbaugh is not looking for a world beater. He’s looking for someone like Alex Smith.

Harbaugh needs a quarterback that will take care of the ball, get first downs and lead the team. Smith was seen as a big time bust before JH took over. In their first year together, the now Michigan coach quickly turned Smith into a legit NFL QB that went 12-4 and made the NFC Championship. And I believe he could do the same for Rudock and the Team 136.
